All positions on location at the Tera Janelle Design studio in Lynchburg, Virginia. 

DESIGN INTERNSHIP - FALL 2024  (August - December)
 

We will begin accepting intern applications for our Fall 2024 internship on May 01, 2024. Preference given to junior, senior, or graduate level interior design or architecture students, and non-student applicants of 3+ years relevant work experience in interiors, architecture, or a construction related field. Strong CAD proficiency is required.

The fall internship program runs mid-August to early December.  A minimum of 12 hours a week is required in order to provide a quality learning experience.  Our office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (10 AM - 4 PM).  Our office will be closed the week of Thanksgiving.

Interns will gain experience in construction design, soft furnishings, design installations, project coordination, interior design marketing, photoshoot styling, and the behind the scenes daily tasks of running an interior design studio.

Internship is a paid internship and ON LOCATION at the Tera Janelle Design studio, located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Qualifications ...
​

  • MINIMUM of 3 years experience in a construction or architectural design related field

  • Excellence in AutoCAD a MUST!  

  • Exceptional proficiency in interior architectural drawings

  • Thorough working knowledge of construction design

  • Project management experience

  • Impeccable attention to detail, organization, and follow through

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong drive and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Willingness to eagerly step in wherever needed

Position is 20-25 hours a week, with standard working hours of Monday, Wednesday & Thursday (8:45 AM - 4:15 PM), with additional hours available based on project loads and installation schedules. 

 

Position is ON LOCATION at the Tera Janelle Design studio located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Pay based on experience.
