TERA JANELLE
CEO & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
A Wisconsin farm girl who fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Tera Janelle adores nearly every type of cheese (blue cheese especially), sunny days, classic interiors, and the perfect shade of greige.
In 2007, Tera launched her interior design company, now eponymously Tera Janelle Design. With projects ranging from beach houses and new builds to mountain estates and historic homes, Tera specializes in full scale concept-to-completion construction to furnishings design. Her work has been featured throughout Virginia design publications and published nationally at ElleDecor.com, House & Home, HGTV.ca, and in Domino Magazine.
Married to her high school sweetheart, Tera and her husband reside in Lynchburg, Virginia with their twin girls. If she's not at work, you'll find Tera in flip flops with her family at the beach (probably Corolla, NC or the Caribbean), stalking historic neighborhoods, or hunting for the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco meal in the sunshine.

MEET THE TEAM

AMANDA
JUNIOR DESIGNER
Amanda has a degree in interior design from Virginia Tech, with an emphasis on architecture and technical design drawings. During her time at Virginia Tech, she had the pleasure to partner in the design of a Washington-based co-working space, a Roanoke brewery, and a renovation concept for Shanks Hall on the Virginia Tech campus. She has received special accolades for her design concepts and her realistic Revit and Photoshop renderings.
Amanda oversees all of TJD's in-house 3D renderings. She enjoys the culminating nature and deep relationships fostered by the design and build process, from creating the initial hand-sketched designs, CAD drawings, and 3D renderings, through partnering with clients throughout the transformation that is the construction and build process.
Born and raised in Evington, VA, the Virginia mountains continue to be an inspiration for Amanda. She enjoys hiking the Cascades Trail and landscape photography. When not on the hiking trail, Amanda loves Virginia Tech football games and Mexican Cuisine (even Taco Bell will do, but especially La Carreta).

ANNA KAY
JUNIOR DESIGNER
From a long line of interior designers, Anna Kay spent her life cultivating a passion for beauty and creativity. She followed in her grandparents' footsteps by pursuing residential interior design.
Her family's formal, traditional style fostered her love of blue and white chinoiserie and stained wooden furniture, while her childhood home of six, and often many guests, taught her the cruciality of functionality.
Anna Kay specializes in design, CAD, and furnishings for our team, ensuring the slew of details for a project are drawn, documented, managed, tracked, and land where we designed them to, down to the tiniest polishing and styling details.
Anna Kay holds an interior design degree from Liberty University. Born and bred a Tar Heel from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Anna Kay and her husband now reside full-time in Lynchburg, Virginia. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy scenic drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring antique stores, and sitting at their favorite local coffee shops.
