All positions are on location at the Tera Janelle Design studio, located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Monday - Thursday working schedule; closed Friday and the weekends.

30 - 35 Hours/week

We are looking for a highly-motivated lover of details with an aptitude for numbers, order tracking, and processes.  This is an administrative-focused role serving the creative design team by overseeing the ordering and receiving, administrative, and accounting tasks of the design studio.


Qualifications ...

  • Preferred two years of experience in an administrative or accounting role

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Strong aptitude for numbers, processes & spreadsheets

  • Strong sense of excellence, organization, and follow through

  • Willingness to eagerly step in wherever needed -- emptying trash, unboxing deliveries, etc.

Job Duties ...


  • Data entry 

  • Logistics coordinator

  • Management of product ordering, tracking, receiving, recording, and inventory

  • Attend design coordination meetings with team to confirm all furniture, fixtures, and finish selections for order input 

  • Communication with builders, manufacturers and furniture vendors for scheduling and product ordering

  • Submit and track purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for project bookkeeping and reconciliation.

  • Generate progress reports and quickly identify and resolve issues

  • Assist in the organization and upkeep of office design resources such as fabric library and product samples

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Suite. Bonus if you have experience with Ivy, inDesign, or SketchUp.


15+ Hours/week

Accepting intern applications for senior level interior design students.  A minimum of 15 hours a week is required in order to provide a valuable learning experience.

Interns will gain experience in construction design, soft furnishings, design installations, project coordination, interior design marketing, and the behind the scenes daily tasks of running an interior design studio.

Internships are ON LOCATION at the Tera Janelle Design studio, located in Lynchburg, Virginia.  

Internships are unpaid unless prior arrangements have been made.

Qualifications ...

  • Degree in interior design or architecture or a MINIMUM of 3 years experience in a construction or architectural design related field

  • AutoCAD and/or REVIT a MUST!

  • Proficiency in interior architectural drawings and 3-D renderings

  • Full working knowledge of construction design

  • Construction field experience

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong drive and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Willingness to eagerly step in wherever needed -- emptying trash, dusting, unboxing deliveries, etc.
